Josiah Wedgwood started producing china at Staffordshire, England in the year 1750, initially as the apprentice and later all by himself. He used to work untiringly for developing various new designs of pottery. Number of his experimental stages items from early part of his careers is being kept at the Wedgwood Museum in Ballston, England.  Wedgwood is well known for Jasperware, prepared in the reputed wedgwood blue. Wedgwood created Creamware also which later became famous as “Queen’s Ware” when his company obtained was awarded with the royal seal by Queen Charlotte in the year 1763. The pieces of wedgwood are always can be identified easily because they are kept marked. This kind of china is very well documented also by collectors, and therefore it is quite easy to distinguish the pattern. Jasperware is unglazed and is painted with ornamentation of white bas-relief which is created with hand. Wedgwood has created various types of chinaware which are mostly glazed.
