Outdoor classroom and the natural world
An outdoor classroom is a place where your kids go to learn about the environment in an open and natural environment. The outdoor classrooms are emphasizing the link between the natural world and children. Activities of children in outdoor classroom programs are focused on the observation of nature. Sometimes they also involve the experience of travel and facility in which students can participate in various outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, ropes course, group games and canoeing.
Standard outdoor classroom generally consists of 1 acre of land, which includes the chain link fence with the perimeter. Each classroom plans various activities for children that children can participate in general activities. Children can also see how to interact with plant and animal species, ecosystems. Since there are lots of benefits of outdoor classrooms, the governments of many countries have been more aware to environmental issues.
Main purpose of outdoor classrooms is that young students can interact with the plant biology and animal world. There are various forms of the outdoor classrooms, but generally the gardens or the space of backyard are preferred because they add more interest to the children. Kids can learn better in their open worlds.
