Betting Structures In Texas Holdem
Betting structure in the game of TexasHoldem usually involves the use of small and big blind bets which are actually forced by two players. The forced amount from all the players called Antes is used with the blind bets in the later stages of the tournament play. The dealer button represents player who will deal the cards. The button is rotated clockwise after every hand thus changing the position continually of the dealer and the blinds. The player to the left of the dealer is said to be the small blind, while the big blind is posted by the player who sits on the left of the small blind. The betting amount he gives is equal to the minimum bet.
In the situation when two players are left, the blinds are posted differently as the special head to head rules come into existence. The dealer posts the small blind and his opponent placed the big blind. The first flop is acted upon by the dealer and after that he will always act last for the remaining part of the hand.
In tournament poker, the blind structure from time to time raises with the progression of the tournament.
